Beloved,
God does not need anyone to accomplish that which He has purposed in our lives as His Children. However, in order to get done what Our Father wants done in our lives as His children, He will use anybody He chooses to use - or anything - so that His Will can be perfected in us. And in order for Him to operate in this way, we have to surrender our will to His will in Jesus Christ name. God gives us the choice to give up control.
God’s Word tells us in Hebrews Chapter 11 that FAITH is “the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The Dictionary defines HOPE as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. In order for us to EXPECT and DESIRE a certain thing to happen, we must TRUST and BELIEVE that God IS ABLE to make it happen. You have to say it and declare it! "This will happen," "I will have," "I am delivered," "My children will be," etc. Speak your faith and declare it plainly because GOD IS ABLE!
Our Father gives us opportunities to cooperate with Him in what He has purposed in our lives by providing us with what I call PATHWAYS OF FAITH. Our Daddy allows us to go through certain situations and circumstances in order to help us as we journey on those PATHWAYS OF FAITH. The Bible also lets us know in Hebrews Chapter 11, verse 6 that "without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God." So God provides us with these pathways - opportunities if you will - so that we can not only exercise our faith but increase it as well.
In Genesis, we are told that Abel offered up a more excellent sacrifice than his brother, Cain. Why was Abel's sacrifice more excellent? Because Abel offered up the FIRST PRODUCTS OF HIS LABOR; “the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof” according to Genesis Chapter 4, verse 4. Whereas his brother, Cain, offered up some of the fruits of his labors when he felt like it. “And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.” (Genesis 4:3) Cain decided he would give God what he wanted to give God and when He wanted to give it to God. Biblical expositors and scholars define the phrase “in the process of time” as a LONG INDEFINITE PERIOD. Abel trusted God to provide; and therefore, gave God the first of his flock believing more would be provided. In order to exercise our faith, we must first TRUST GOD!
Don't resent those PATHWAYS OF FAITH - like tithing for example - that God provides for us and miss out on opportunities to please God by exercising your faith in Him. Inasmuch as I agree that tithing is not a New Testament command, I also wholeheartedly believe that TITHING IS A PATHWAY OF FAITH for God to prove Himself faithful in our lives and for us to please God by exercising our faith in Him.
Trust God, Beloved, "with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding; regardless of what it looks like; regardless of what it feels like "acknowledge Him in all your ways" and believe that He "will direct your paths." Trust God so that you can exercise your faith in God because "without faith, it is impossible to please God."
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:13-14 (KJV)
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Peace & Blessings.
