Fulfillment Activated In The Heart!
as a result of things hoped for and evidence not yet seen
Throughout the entire Bible we hear about several different promises made by God which were communicated through His prophets to His people and which have all come to past. For example, the Old Testament Prophet Isaiah prophesized that Jesus’ ministry would begin in Galilee (Isaiah 9:1-2) and in the New Testament Gospel according to Matthew we find it fulfilled as we listen to Christ declaring “repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” in Galilee and at the start of His ministry.
(Matthew 4:12-17).
As we continue to listen, we hear the Prophet Zechariah prophesizing about “The Coming King” in the Old Testament Book of Zechariah, chapter 9, verse 9, and as we turn the pages to the New Testament Gospel According to Matthew, Mark, and John, we hear its fulfillment through the multitude of people shouting “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ as they scattered clothes and tree branches on the road to Jerusalem which Jesus was riding on making that “Triumphal Entry” as the true and living King of the Kingdom of God. (Matthew 21:9, Mark 11:9-10, John 12:13).
And although there are many, many, more prophecies in the Bible made by God through His angels and prophets that came to past, the point being made now on this day is that what God promises, He fulfills and what He says He will do, He will do it! When Jesus said: “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes,” (Matthew 6:34 /MSG) believe Him and take Him at His Word. Remind Him if you must, but keep an unwavering faith in believing what He said.
The fulfillment must begin in our hearts as we believe God for the promise. There must be a fulfillment activated in the heart as a result of those things hoped for and evidence not yet seen which the Hebrew author speaks about in Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1.
We have to believe and know that God keeps His promises and will do what He says He will do. We must continually affirm this in our hearts, and believe it is so because God said it is so. On His Word alone, we must believe it is fulfilled.
