Seeming to know the answer already, the late Tina Turner - in that mezzo-soprano raspy voice of hers – asked the universe in 1984 “What’s Love Got to Do with It?” Ironically, and given the abuse she previously experienced in her first marriage, she didn’t write the words to that bestselling single that many of her fans - myself included - thought she was singing in response to the domestic violence. "Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?" She sang. The lyrics were written by Terry Britten and Graham Lyle and those two songwriters did not pen the words specifically for the energetic songstress, Tina Turner.
But when one considers the imperfect love offered by the world compared to the perfect love offered by JEHOVAH GOD, that song does beg the question: What does love have to do with it? Because the love of JESUS CHRIST is like none other. His love has lifted many out of the depths of despair, and His love is able to do the same for you. His love has a lot to do with it in that it is His love that will determine where we will spend eternity.
Hear
Him now as He beckons you to believe: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
