A CALL TO MATURE
IN TWENTY TWENTY FOUR

According to Dr. Alan Carr, longtime pastor and teacher in the Kingdom of God, one can be a Christian while at the same time live a very carnal life. In “The Road Map to Maturity,” he lets us know that the carnal Christian is one who is saved but has never grown in the Lord. Carnal Christians are “always being defeated by the flesh, the world, and the devil." They are unable to walk spiritually or war spiritually and are not much use to the Kingdom. Pastor Carr goes on in his message to tell us that carnal Christians aren’t able to dress up in the ‘whole’ armor of God that the Apostle Paul writes about in Ephesians. They don’t have all of the pieces and the pieces they do have they don’t know how to use!

WOW…

I don’t know about you, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, but as a Christian I don’t want JESUS to find me in carnality when He returns. Whether the world believes it or not, JESUS is coming back again! He’s coming back in power and great glory; and when He does, the “saved” will be called to the judgement seat to give an account of all we have done since being “saved.”

“Sooner or later we’ll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions.
We will appear before Christ and take what’s coming to us as a result of our actions,
either good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10/MSG)

Oh yes, the sins we committed prior to us being saved have been tossed into the sea of forgetfulness because of the work JESUS did on Calvary’s Cross. And God has assured us in His Word that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9). But, Brothers and Sisters, we won’t get a “grace pass” in judgement because we’re saved, and we will be judged upon His return.

Yes, Salvation is a Kingdom entrance requirement; and - no - the saved will not be judged like the unsaved who will be cast into the pit of hell, but those of us who are saved will be judged for what we have done since we got saved.

So today, you may want to ask yourself: Will I be ready when JESUS returns? or “Am I ready to meet Him now?” Not sure if you're ready? Repent of your sins and have a talk with God. Pray this prayer if you want to meet JESUS now and be saved:

“This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven,
will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
(Acts 1:11)
